How to Turn Community Visitors Into Customers

Wednesday April 12th 2017 11:30 am - Wednesday April 12th 2017 01:30 pm

The public is invited to attend a FREE two-hour workshop, which teaches how to transform community visitors into customers and keep them coming back.

Jessica Brownmiller with Le Mars Convention and Visitors Bureau(CVB) will host the workshop on Wednesday, April 12th starting at 11:30 a.m. in the lower level of the Le Mars Convention Center.

During the workshop, participants will learn how front-line employees can become their community’s best ambassadors; how they can most effectively share information with visitors; plus “The Five Steps to Excellent Customer Service” for businesses.

Organizers say that community front-line employees will especially benefit from this workshop, including staff who interact with the public in restaurants, retail, convenience stores, attractions, and hotels; as well as business managers and supervisors.

The workshop is co-sponsored by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, and taught by Community Development Specialist, Abigail Gaffey.

Other workshop sponsors include the Iowa Economic Development Authority/ Iowa Tourism Office, and the Eastern, Central and Western Iowa Tourism Regions.

The workshop is free and lunch will be provided but pre-registration is required
