JOB SUMMARY
Provides general nursing care. Basic nursing care includes comfort measures, personal hygiene, medication treatments and procedures for which the approved educational programs have prepared. Expected to know and will be held accountable for following infection prevention and control policies. This practice includes dependent and interdependent functions.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Full time; 72 hours every 2 weeks.

QUALIFICATIONS
Must be licensed by the Iowa Board of Nursing or multi-state licensure. Certifications for all LPNs CPR and Mandatory Abuse certifications. In the Hospital setting LPNs must also be certified in NRP. May possess the LPN Expanded Role certificate. Completion of LPN program at state board approved school. Commensurate with knowledge taught in an approved LPN education program and verified by LPN licensure. Must complete Continuing Education as required by the Iowa Board of Nursing.
