Sheldon, IA 877-243-1372Required to perform clinical laboratory testing and other necessary duties to keep the department functioning smoothly. Will work with self discipline, good judgment, and considerable independence while following established standards of practice. Overall will demonstrate technical competency and will consult with leadership when necessary. Needs to recognize responsibilities of other laboratory and health care personnel and interact with respect for their jobs and patient care. Understand the use and limitations of laboratory instruments and equipment, must demonstrate proficiency in assigned areas, be able to learn and utilize new technology as laboratory medicine changes. Must be able to work with growth and development needs of unique client populations for the all age groups. Perform laboratory testing according to established standards and regulations to assist the provider in diagnosis and treatment of the patients.
Must be registered by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or registry of equal status. New graduates must pursue the registry exam at the earliest date following employment and registration must be obtained within one-year of date of hire. Must be a graduate of a Medical Lab Science Program of an NAACLS approved School of Laboratory Science. Must have at least a Baccalaureate Degree in an appropriate discipline.
